We have just become a charity and our first Annual General Meeting is on Wednesday 2nd April at the Belize Community Centre, Celta Road at 6pm.
We will be discussing everything from the direction of The Green Backyard to electing a brand new Board of Trustees. Electing the Trustees is really important as they are the people that will lead the organisation in the future. At least half of the Trustees must be regular volunteers to ensure that The Green Backyard always has its volunteers’ interests at heart. But the best way you can ensure we are doing the best job for GBY is to come along to our AGM and have your say!
We will be taking comments on what you would like to see us do in the future, showcasing a draft of our new proposal to be put to Peterborough City Council and of course, electing the Trustees. A well run organisation needs people to make sure we are doing things right so it is REALLY important that people come along and get involved.
If you are interested in standing for Trustee, all the info can be downloaded from our resources page where you can also find the application form. We are also be running two sessions, on Wednesdays 19th and 26th as a drop in for anyone who would like to know more. Or, you can just email any of your questions to firstname.lastname@example.org.
Bring yourselves and anyone else who wants to see The Green Backyard’s success continue for years to come!
