Katy Hawkins

Katy Hawkins works in community arts and development. Her work is focused on getting people more involved in their local area and supporting local action. She is especially interested in how the arts and city planning can work together to inspire more civic engagement. She has co-organised community street festivals, kick-started a series of resident-led gardening initiatives on inner city estates and produced community arts projects focused on revitalising green spaces. Before living in Peterborough she was in Oxford, London and Berlin. She is a keen cyclist and explorer of cities.
