Cristina is Peterborough City Council’s Recycling Education Co-ordinator, leading projects that promote sustainability and recycling awareness.

Over the past year, Cristina has successfully delivered 130 educational engagements and 700 community visits, offering free workshops tailored for all educational levels. These sessions include interactive games, upcycling projects, mascot visits, and collaborations with Wildlife Officers, litter picking groups and volunteers.

Cristina also supports Eco Councils and Green Teams, helping schools and community groups embed sustainable practices. Her work has made recycling education accessible and engaging, strengthening community involvement in environmental initiatives. Some of her successes have been the roll out of Recycling cable bins, the establishment of the Second Chance Uniform shop  at Queensgate (where you can swap, donate or take any school items for free).
